About the role:
One of the schools we work with in Gloucester is looking for a full time, permanent Teaching Assistant. The school is really lovely and there is a potential for this role to continue into September! The school would like someone to start ASAP and previous Teaching Assistant experience is not essential for this role. The role would be generally supporting a KS2 class.
Your role will include:
- Supporting the class in their learning
- Supporting the Teacher
- Managing behaviour effectively
- Promoting good progress and outcomes
- Creating a positive learning environment
What the client is looking for:
The school is looking for someone who is confident to handle potentially challenging behaviour, as some of the students may display this. The candidate must be able to handle these situations with care and calmness, so being a patient individual is incredibly important. The students also need consistency and so being reliable and happy to commit to the role is really crucial.
